Go Apple Picking – Find an orchard in your town and go pick some apples! There’s one down the street from where I live and it’s a couple of miles away but the orchard is fun to visit even if you don’t want to pick apples. I planted an apple tree in my and this year and it will take awhile for it to grow. 🙂
Light a Fall Candle – My favorite candle this Fall season has been Hello Fall from Bath and Body Works. It smells amazing and they have so many other great Fallish type candles there. Pumpkin Pecan Waffles is in my bathroom.
Pumpkin Carving – I know it’s not really that time of the month in October yet. Usually I wait until the week before to carve pumpkins for Halloween. Pumpkins can become really stinky and rotted if you carve them too early.
Make Pumpkin Bread – Want a good recipe for pumpkin bread? Try this one!
Take Fall Pictures – Go out and take some pictures even if you don’t have an expensive camera. I just used my iphone to take some of these glorious Fall pictures the last week. I found this amazing park that had a lot of cool looking trees.
Rake the Leaves – My yard tends to get a lot of leaves in the middle of October and I usually wait until the leaves have fallen off all the trees to rake anything.
Pack away Spring and Summer clothes – Once the temperatures don’t reach over 70 degrees here, that’s when all the Summer and Spring clothes get put away. Time to take out the warm cozy sweaters and leggings.
Watch Hocus Pocus – This is one of my favorite Halloween movies next to the Addams Family. Some people like to have a Harry Potter marathon during the Fall but I don’t think of Harry Potter as a Fallish type movie. I think of it more like a Winter movie since there are so many Christmas scenes in that movie.
Have soup for dinner – Tis the season for soup.
Go on a hay ride – I haven’t found a place in town here that does these but if there’s anyone in this area who knows of one please let me know because it would be really fun to do.
Jump in a pile of leaves – Once you’ve raked all those leaves, the only proper thing to do is to jump in the pile right?
Haunted Corn Maze – There is this place by me called the Acres of Terror and I went to it with my friend this year. It’s in Leonard, ND and it’s so freaking cool to go to. My friend and I were quite skeptical when we went cause it was so out of town but it was so worth it in the end. We met this group in line who was standing behind us and we all went together. First you go through this corn maze and sometimes you’ll get chased by a guy with a chainsaw. Then you walk into these houses and sometimes it’s so dark and creepy in there you really have to hold on to someone cause you never know what’s going to jump out at you. They take you on a scary bus tour ride to this school that was abandonded and remade into some haunted house. I’d definitely go again.
Decorate for Halloween!
