Air Fryer Pop Tarts

You won't need to buy any pre-packaged Pop Tarts after making these homemade ones in the air fryer. I used heart-shaped cookie cutters for Valentine's Day.

  • 1 cup of self-rising flour
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons of strawberry jam
  • 1/3 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp of milk 2 drops of almond extract
  • Red food coloring

  1. Mix the Greek yogurt and self rising flour together in a bowl. Transfer the dough to a floured work surface. Roll out into rectangle and cut 12 equal squares. Some of the squares might be uneven but that is OK. 🙂 You can also use a square cookie cutter or different shaped cookie cutters to get even edges. Sometimes just using a knife doesn’t work. Spread 1 tablespoon of jam in the center of each pop tart.
  2. Place one rectangle dough on top of the raspberry jam. Crimp the edges with a fork and spray the top with butter spray. Place in an air fryer basket and set the timer to 12 minutes and the temperature to 350 degrees. While the pop tarts are cooking in the air fryer, make the icing.
  3. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract together with a whisk until well combined.
