Making popcorn in an air fryer is super simple and requires only a few basic ingredients. All you need is some popcorn kernels and a little bit of oil or butter. Why You'll Love this Recipe

The best part about making popcorn in an air fryer is that it's quick, easy, and doesn't require any special equipment or ingredients. Plus, it's a healthier option compared to microwave popcorn or stovetop popcorn, which can be loaded with artificial ingredients and preservatives. With your air fryer, you can make delicious, homemade popcorn without all the added junk.

So next time you're craving a tasty snack, give air fryer popcorn a try. It's a fun, easy, and delicious way to enjoy your favorite snack at home!

What are some toppings I can add to Air Fryer Popcorn?

    • Sprinkling on some grated Parmesan cheese and herbs for a savory, cheesy twist
    • Mixing in a tablespoon of nutritional yeast for a vegan, cheesy flavor
    • Tossing the popped kernels in melted dark chocolate and sea salt for a sweet and salty treat
    • Adding a pinch of chili powder or other spices for a spicy kick
    • Mixing in some melted marshmallows for a gooey, sweet twist on popcorn balls.

The possibilities are endless, so have fun experimenting and finding your own favorite flavor combinations. And next time you're in the mood for a tasty snack, give air fryer popcorn a try – you won't be disappointed!

Tips for Popcorn in Air Fryer

Place some parchment paper or tinfoil down in the bottom of the basket to prevent any popcorn kernels from falling down the cracks.

Popcorn kernels might get stuck inside the air fryer vents and could possibly start a fire. My Ninja Foodi doesn’t have any open vents for the kernels to get stuck inside, so just make sure and check for that before attempting popcorn in the air fryer.

Use your favorite popcorn seasoning to flavor the popcorn.

    What Ingredients do I need?

In this section, you can find substitutes or suggestions for certain ingredients. I also will try and list out what the ingredients' purpose is for.

Popcorn kernels - you can buy popcorn kernels from a bag or inside a jar, just don’t get ones that are pre-seasoned

Popcorn seasoning - use your favorite kind

    Butter, oil, or cooking spray

    3. Place ¼ cup of kernels on the top of the parchment paper. Sprinkle with salt and spray with some cooking spray.

    What air fryers are best?

I've had 3 or 4 different air fryers or the past 5 years and each one of them has worked very well with the air fryer recipes on this site. If you want to be able to cook more food for your family at once then get an air fryer with a large basket such as 5.3 quarts. Look for ones that say nonstick on them and has multiple program settings.

Power XL Air Fryer 5.3 Quart Basket. - This was my very first air fryer.

Our 5.3QT Power Air-Fryer comes in handy in preparing amazing meals from your cookbook, and frying a variety of dishes, such as: French fries, chicken, steak, roasts, fish tacos and sticks, waffle fries, pies, pudding and donuts.

Ninja Foodi Grill and Air Fryer - This air fryer works very well too but the air fryer setting doesn't go below 300 degrees. If there's a recipe that calls for lower temperatures you have to use the bake setting. It air frys, roasts, grills, and dehydrates food.

Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer- This air fryer doesn't require any preheating and has several different functions for cooking chicken, meat, frozen foods, etc. There are 5 different functions.

GoWISE USA 1700-Watt 5.8-QT 8-in-1 Digital Air Fryer

Air fryer temperature settings vary according to brand and model. If your air fryer does not have the exact temperature setting called for in the recipe, consult your manual for suggested temperature settings.
