Description

Breakfast can be super healthy with this avocado and egg toast! I serve mine with whole grain bread and some fruit to make sure I'm getting some great nutrients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ounce of avocado
  • 1 slice of Whole Wheat 12 Grain Bread such as Ezekiel
  • 1 large egg
  • salt and pepper
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet to medium heat. Spray with cooking spray.
  2. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook until egg whites are white and the yolk is still runny, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, toast bread slices to desired doneness.
  4. Mash avocado in a bowl; stir in salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Spread avocado mixture onto toast. Top with fried egg and season with sea salt and pepper.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and place the topped bread slice inside for about 5-6 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the avocado is slightly warmed. You can also add toppings like sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze for extra flavor. Once done, remove the avocado toast from the air fryer, let it cool for a minute, and enjoy your delicious and nutritious snack or meal. Experiment with different toppings and seasonings to create your perfect air fryer avocado toast recipe!
