Bacon Pancake Donuts

Bacon Pancake Donuts - An easy and simple recipe for baked donuts that are topped with a maple glaze and sprinkled with crispy cooked bacon on top. 



1 1/2 cups of self rising flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 1/2 cups of 1% milk or unsweetened almond milk

4 tablespoons of sugar-free maple syrup

1 egg



1/4 cup of powdered sugar

1 tablespoon of 1% milk

2 tablespoons of sugar-free maple syrup



4 strips of cooked chopped bacon



  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a medium, combine flour, salt, and brown sugar. Stir together. Form a hole in the middle of the flour mixture and add the maple syrup, milk, and egg.
  3. Spoon two tablespoons of the donut mixture into the donut pan (hole).
  4.  Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. While the donuts are baking cook the bacon over the stove top until crispy. 
  5. I cut mine into chunks. Make the frosting: in a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk.
  6. Let the donuts cool once they are done baking in the oven. Dip the donut in the frosting mixture and sprinkle the bacon on top. Enjoy.
  7. Makes 10 regular size donuts. Serving size: 1 donut.
