With banana bread waffles, you can have one ready in less than 5 minutes and still get that great banana bread flavor. You will no longer have to wait for banana bread to bake in the oven!
- 1 1/2 cups Self rising flour
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed with a fork
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg white
- 1/4 c. Nonfat plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
- Maple syrup, for serving
Heat waffle iron and grease with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
In another large bowl, mash ripe bananas with a fork. Then incorporate the egg, egg white, Greek Yogurt, unsweetened milk, and vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Add 1/2 cup batter to waffle iron. Close and cook until golden on both sides. Transfer waffle to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve with good maple syrup.
