These chocolate banana bites are made with only 3 ingredients - sliced bananas, chocolate, and peanut butter! These banana bites are little bites of heaven. After you eat one, you won't be able to stop.

Chocolate Banana Slices are easy to make and are a great healthy after school snack. Food police might be skeptical of the word healthy since there's chocolate involved. Peanut butter is a good source of protein. Bananas have fiber and potassium.
You can even get your kiddos involved in making them.
Types of chocolate
There are lots of different kinds of chocolate out there that you can work with to make these banana bites. The three main types of chocolate are white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. If you are following a weight loss program such as WW and want to make these banana bites low in points as possible feel free to sugar-free chocolate chips as Lilly's.
Peanut Butter
My favorite type of peanut butter is Jiff Whips. I just love how much creamier it is compared to regular peanut butter. That is because it has been whipped more. PB2 can be substituted instead of regular peanut butter.
How to make Chocolate Banana Bites
Place the banana slices on a large plate lined with parchment paper. Spread the peanut butter over half of the banana slices. A teaspoon of peanut butter is a good amount for one banana slice. Place another banana slice on top of the peanut butter to form a sandwich. Place in the freezer for about an hour.
Add the chocolate chips to a microwave saved bowl. Microwave on high for about a minute, stir until smooth.
Dip the frozen banana chunks in the melted chocolate.
At this point, you can roll the banana slices in some shredded coconut, finely chopped peanuts, sprinkles, whatever you like. This step is optional.
Transfer to the freezer for another hour before serving.

I am not affiliated with WW formerly known as Weight Watchers in any way. I am just a member who likes to create WW recipes and share them with everyone. Freestyle is the name of the current program of WW and smart points are calculated for the recipes. Some blogs list them as freestyle smart points and some list them as smart points. There is no difference between the 2.
How is this a WW recipe?
NO FOOD is off limits on WW and WW themselves stresses that a lot on their social media pages. That is one reason why I love WW. You can pretty much eat ANYTHING to lose weight just as long as you stay in your daily points range or are in a calorie deficit.
How does Weight Watchers work?
Each recipe or food has a Smart Points value. This is calculated using calories, saturated fat, protein, and sugar. It is best to stay away from foods that are loaded with saturated fat and sugar on the plan because those foods are higher in points. When you register with Weight Watchers you are given a daily set of points to target based on your age, gender, height, and activity level. Think of it as an easier way to track your macros.
