How to make Dulce de leche in your crock pot.

1 can of sweetened condensed milk
enough water to cover the can

Take cover off of the can of sweetened condensed milk. Place in crock pot. Pour enough water in the crock pot so that it covers the can. This is an important step, because if the water isn't covered completely over the can during the whole process it will explode. I boiled mine on high for 4 hours. My slow cooker cooks pretty fast even if the setting is on low. Allow the can to cool completely before opening it.

Last night I had my crock pot in the bath tub just in case it did end up exploding.

I plan on making some cookies with the dulce de leche or maybe I will end up going to the grocery store later on and get some ice cream. I need to get some yogurt for the granola that I made on Saturday.
