Back when I first made this recipe in 2012, I called this recipe “Evil Oreo Cake”. It got that nickname because it was so good, I couldn’t stop eating it.

A couple of weeks ago, I had made strawberry poke cake and was dreaming of all the different kinds of cake recipes you could make using the poke cake method. I remembered this cake recipe and gave it an upgrade with poking holes in it and adding some chocolate pudding for even more flavor.

Oreo Poke Cake

Ingredients

Are you wondering why I chose an ingredient or wondering what else you can use? Check out this section here.

Cake Mix  - Devil’s food or chocolate cake

Pudding  -  I like to use Instant Pudding because it is quick, but if you have a favorite recipe for chocolate pudding you make that is fine to use as well. Chocolate instant pudding, cheesecake instant pudding, and vanilla instant pudding would be all great with this.

Frosting  - The frosting recipe is my famous recipe for Oreo Fluff. It is a mixture of vanilla instant pudding, milk, cool whip, and crushed Oreos. I can eat this by the spoonful and it is even better on a cake!

How to Make Oreo Poke Cake

Preheat oven to 350º and grease a 4”-x-4” pan.

In a small bowl mix together the cake mix, water, oil, and egg until well combined. Pour into greased pan.

Bake for 20 to 23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely and poke holes all over the top of the cake.

Add the pudding into the holes on top of the cake.

Make Oreo Fluff recipe.

In a small bowl whisk together the pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes. Fold in the cool whip and Oreos.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refridgerate for 1 hr until the fluff has set, or overnight.
