Why You Will Love This Recipe
A can of peach preserves or jam can really transform a marinade and make it sweet and savory with soy sauce.
Try this marinade on grilled pork or shrimp.
Ingredients Needed

- Peach preserves or jam - If you don't have peach preserves on hand maybe try orange marmalade or raspberry preserves. I always have leftover preserves in the fridge and this is a great way to get rid of those by making marinades!
- Chicken Breasts - Make sure the chicken breasts are all the same size before cooking. Chicken thighs can also be used.
- Jalapeno - This is necessary for the marinade and you can leave it out if you don't like it so spicy. It isn't pictured in the ingredients above. Some crushed red pepper flakes would be good sprinkled on the top if you missed out on the jalapeno.
- Garlic - finely chopped
Olive oil - or canola oil
Soy sauce - can sub Coconut Aminos - See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
How to Make Grilled Chicken Breasts
Step 1: Combine Spicy Peach Glaze ingredients in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Reserve ½ cup.

Step 2: Preheat grill. Brush the chicken with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place skin-side down and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, until golden brown. Turn over and continue cooking for 5 to 6 minutes. Brush both sides with the peach glaze and continue cooking an additional 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 3: Place peach halves, cut side down on the grill and grill for 2 minutes. Turn over and brush with the reserved ½ cup of peach glaze, grill for 3 to 4 more minutes until peaches are soft.
Best Grilling Tips
- Always Start with a clean grill. Make sure last nights dinner isn’t stuck on it. 😉
- Get any type of meat thermometer. This will help to check for proper doneness and to make sure the meat is at the proper temperature.
- Grilling is done at very high heat to cook food faster. Smokers are used for low and slow cooking.
- Know when to use direct heat.
- The best outdoor type grills are Webber or Blackstone. Blackstone are a flat top cooking service that don’t have any grates in them.

Add a glaze or wet marinade to the chicken to prevent them from being dry. Or try a brine.
For white meat the temp should reach 160, for dark meat it's 165 degrees. Use a thermometer to tell when chicken breast is cooked.
