Wow March flew by this year! Let me tell you what all went down.
This month I found a youtube channel called The Bite Shot and she had a tutorial on there on how to make your own DIY backdrops for food photography. I’ll leave the link below. These are so easy to make and simple and they don’t involve any power tools at all. My friend has been slowing teaching me them though, so far he’s taught me how to use an electric drill and circular saw.
Loved how these surfaces turned out, and I will probably be making some more.
I went to Minneapolis for Easter Weekend and spent some time with my brother and his wife, and wife’s parents. It was pretty fun! We went shopping and I got everything I needed for my patio at Ikea. My brother was even going to let me take pictures of his ham, because I was telling him I don’t have any ham recipes on this site at all but that never happened. If you would like any of these recipes below, let me know, and I will try and get the recipes from him.
Here’s all the food we ate for Eater Dinner. My brother made a ham with bourban glaze on it, bourban carrots, hasselback potatoes and Greek Orzo salad.
On my Instagram account, Weight Watchers shared one of my recipes for Buffalo Chicken Ring Dip and that helped me gain over 1,000 followers so I just wanted to give a shout out to Weight Watchers for doing that.
I’ve been really wishing Spring would get here, but lately it hasn’t yet. It just doesn’t want to happen. This is my current patio situation and I can’t wait to get rid of all that crap during Spring clean up week.
That happens the week of May 1st here. The boulevards fill up with a ton of crap, which can be treasures for some people. People like to go and do some boulevard shopping with their pick up trucks whenever they find something. I’m thinking about doing a video on a patio makeover for my youtube channel. This weekend, I bought a ton of stuff at Ikea for it and it will be fun when it comes time to finally be able to re-decorate it!
Well, that about wraps up March for you. I’ll probably be doing one of these each month to share some pictures other than food and just of daily life that I take. It’s good to get away from the norm.
