Have you had your fix of pumpkin yet this Fall? I haven't made a lot of pumpkin things but so far I've made this bread and some pumpkin cookies. I plan on making other pumpkin things. I may even try to incorporate some bacon with pumpkin. You'll soon see. :) I don't know why, but whenever I try and make a bread that has a swirl in it... the bread comes out of the oven just perfect and then once it starts cooling down the bread collapses. Does any one else ever experience this? OR do all the ... continue reading...
French Onion Soup
I love love LOVE the smell of onions cooking away in a pot with some melted butter. One of the best smells ever, oh wait... the best smell in the World has to be bacon. I really liked this soup. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars
We had a bake sale this week and I was tempted to bring something. Come Wednesday night, I was going to make some pumpkin cookies. Checked the pantry, no pumpkin. Checked the fridge, no butter. I also bought my Halloween costume for this year and guess what I'm going to be? You'll have to stay tuned to find out and all I'm going to say is that it is food related. You know how streusel is supposed to be kind of thick and almost looks ... continue reading...
Panera Style Mac and Cheese
A Panera opened up on Monday in our town. We ended up going on Wednesday night and we had to wait 10 minutes in line to take our order and then about 40 minutes to get our food. The line was going out the door pretty much the whole entire time we were there. I wanted to go before that but I waited. It was well worth the wait. I now want to make my own bread this weekend and make my own sandwiches like that at home. I had the Smoked Turkey Bacon Club sandwich and couldn't finish it all so I ended ... continue reading...
