Description

Pickled onions can be added on top of all your favorite foods including burgers, nachos, fish tacos, and salads. 


Ingredients

Scale

1 small red onion 

1 cup of apple cider vinegar 

2 tablespoons of lime juice 

1 tablespoon sugar


Instructions

Thinly slice red onions using a knife or mandolin. Add them to a jar or airtight container. 

Bring vinegar, lime juice, and sugar to boil in a small saucepan.

Pour vinegar mixture over the onions and let sit for at least 30 minutes. or refrigerate for up to 2 days.

Yes, there is sugar in this recipe but it gets dissolved in the vinegar and it isn't much and that is why I don't count it. I only use a couple of them on top of some recipe and not the whole recipe.
