Fall season is finally upon us once again and that is when I start taking out the slow cooker and start using it more. I sometimes will use it in the Summer to make pulled chicken or pork.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Slow Cookers are great for getting beef stew meat super tender. I just love the tender chunks of meat with this gravy that the slow cooker creates. There is quite a bit of extra sauce so you can spoon even more of it onto the top of your beef stew. Serve these with some egg noodles on the side or with some mashed potatoes. I had found this fun noodle shape at Aldi. If you ask me what they were called I can't remember because I threw out the package. It was a special item during Italian week.

My old blogger self thought it was weird to make stew or soup in the crockpot during the Summer. I'm trying to figure out why that was. Maybe it was because I don't really associate those two food recipes with Summer? Many people are under the assumption that your slow cooker is only to be used in the Fall or Winter but it can also be great for cooking year-round.

How to make Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Add the condensed soup, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, and water to the slow cooker. Whisk until everything is combined and add in the beef stew meat.

Cook on low for 8 hours, or high for 4 to 6 hours. Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crockpot on high. Stir the cream cheese in until all combined. You might have to put the lid back on and leave for 10 minutes.
