Shrimp is a great choice for protein because they take no time to cook and they defrost quickly if they are left in water for only an hour. There are also so many different ways you can cook the shrimp and I even wrote out instructions for cooking them in an air fryer, stovetop, or outdoor grill. Shrimp are done when they are pink on the outside and opaque in the middle.

What can I make with this shrimp?

Street Tacos would be totally amazing with this recipe. I almost wish I would have picked up some of the ingredients to make tacos with, but I didn’t think of that until after writing this post.

Pick up some tortillas, cabbage slaw, cotija cheese, and pico de gallo then have your self a sophisticated Taco Tuesday night.

Or, you can just eat the shrimp as they are.

Grocery List

Shrimp - Jumbo shrimp (21/25) or Large shrimp (31/35) Peeled and Deveined

Spices: Smoked paprika (or paprika), Cumin, curry powder, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Turmeric, Fenugreek, or ground coriander can be used instead of curry powder.

Cilantro - sub parsley if you’re not a fan.

How to make Spicy Cilantro Lime Shrimp

Combine salt, paprika, cumin, curry powder, cayenne, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over shrimp and toss to combine.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high.    Add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until opaque throughout, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve shrimp with cilantro, lime wedges, naan, and yogurt if desired.

Air Fryer Spicy Shrimp: Set Air fryer to 400 degrees. Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket and cook them until they are opaque. 4 to 6 minutes. You do not need to flip half ways through.

Outdoor Grill: Preheat grill to medium heat. Lightly oil grill grate. Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with lemon wedges and serve.
