Homemade popsicles or ice pops are a great way to use up fresh Summer fruit. In order to make these all Summer long with any type of fruit you want, you’re going to need a few things.  A blender or food processor to puree the fruit,  ice pop molds to get the popsicle shape, and some popsicle sticks.

    Ice Pop Molds

To make popsicles you will need an ice pop mold. I really like this one from Prepworks by Progressive. To get the popsicles out of the mold, all you need to do is run them under warm water for a couple of seconds and they will pop right out of there. This is the easiest method I’ve found that works for storing homemade popsicles.

    Popsicle Sticks

In order to get the popsicle out of the molds, you will need a popsicle stick for something to grab on to. They can be found at any store that sells crafting materials like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or Wal-mart and they might even have a package that doesn't include 200 of them! I looked on Amazon for popsicle sticks and that was all they seemed to have was a package of 200 or more WTH? lol

This is a set of 200 popsicle sticks. Karlash Jumbo Popsicle Sticks. (Amazon Link)

    Fresh Fruit

Fresh strawberries aren’t the only fruit that will work for making homemade popsicles. I love making watermelon, pineapple, mango, grapesicles, you name it, the sky is the limit!

I think a refreshing pink lemonade sounds good, or margarita flavor. Mojito sounds good in a ice pop too. Wondering if adding alcohol is something you can do with ice pops?
