Hey guys, I get a lot of requests for more What I eat in a Day Posts on WW. People seem to really like them. I’ll try to add one new post a month! On Youtube, What I Eat in a Day videos are extremely popular but I’m camera shy and would rather write a blog post about it. The camera just doesn’t like me and makes me appear chubbier and fatter in some places. Stupid cameras! J/k 🙂
What plan am I on now? I tried following the purple plan for a while but I felt so restricted with what I normally eat in a day and was going way over 18 points a day. That is why I switched to myWW Green plan. More points and lean protein isn’t zero. Just fruit and veggies are zero points.
Last year in 2019, I lost 14 pounds and never hardly got a blue dot EVER, but I still lost weight so I’m not worried. My current weight is 157 and I started at 160. My goal is to lose 10 more pounds and then go into maintenance mode.
Breakfast (7 points)
There is this really awesome Greek Yogurt at Aldi now called Skyr. Sigis brand is very similar to Skyr and has the same texture. I just recently found it there and it comes in 3 flavors. Blueberry, Strawberry, and Vanilla. I top it with the Coconut Granola from Simply Nature Brand Aldi carries and then some fruit like blueberries or strawberries. So delicious and great for a quick breakfast in the morning. The amount of protein varies for each cup, 15 to 16 grams and the amount of sugar isn’t bad either.
If you’ve never shopped at Aldi before and wonder what are some WW friendly items there to get, I have blog post on my other site about that.
Why not use plain Greek yogurt? Since plain Greek Yogurt is a zero point food people try to find alternatives to help flavor the yogurt up like adding Ranch seasoning to it or flavored gelatin packets. Guys, it is ok to eat flavored Greek yogurt that isn’t sweetened with artificial sweeteners! In 2019, was when I discovered that I’m allergic to aspartame! I would break out in this really weird rash on my neck and my stomach was always bloated and in a lot of pain at night! That is why I refuse to eat anything that is labeled light or skinny now because the real sugar has been replaced with a fake one! Artificial sweeteners cause inflammation.
Lunch (15 points)
For lunch, if I’m on the go, I will usually stop in at Star Bucks and get my favorite tea drink. It’s called the Dragon Drink and comes with coconut milk. Only 7 points for a Grande and it tastes like Summer. Jimmy John’s is right next door and I’ll stop and get a Turkey Tomato without any cheese and switch the lettuce to sprouts. 7 to 8 points. Some mornings, I’m so busy running my errands and going to the gym, that I don’t get home until after 12 or 1 pm, so my mornings are pretty busy!
Dinner (8 points)
In the afternoons or at night is when I usually do my work. I’ll be recipe testing, shooting video for recipe, editing videos, or writing a blog post. I try to work in 3 hour time frames a day. This particular day, I had made my recipe for Instant Pot Hamburger Helper. It is 8 points for 1 ¼ cup. Green and Blue (regular pasta) and with purple it’s only 5 points using whole wheat pasta. I hadn’t made a box of regular Hamburger Helper I think since I was married and it was so fast and delicious. (Divorced now)
As you can see, scallions are about the only vegetable I eat in a day. LOL
So I’m at 30 points now and that is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I like to spread out my weeklies during the week and tack on like 5 points for snacks each day. I’ll portion out my favorite chips, have some fruit, or whatever it is I feel like snacking on at that time.
Working out is my jam and it is fun for me! For workouts lately, I have my normal Water in Motion aerobics class on Monday and Wednesday. (love the pool!) I’ve also been doing Body Pump again because in the past 2 years of just doing water classes, I haven’t gained any muscle weight at all. That’s weird right? You think pushing all that water around would give you some muscle at least but it doesn’t.
This week, I recently discovered this really fun and intense Circuit Training class and it’s at the perfect time for me. This class involves TRX suspension training moves, rowing, and whatever else the gym instructor has us doing in the class. It goes by so fast and I’m going to start adding that in with my workouts. Since starting Body Pump about 2 months ago, I can already tell a difference in my body shape. Especially my stomach area.
