Description
Easy carnivore egg bites made with eggs, sausage, cheddar, and cream. A high protein, low carb breakfast perfect for meal prep.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 8 oz Ground pork sausage, cooked
- ½ Sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cook the ground pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Grease a muffin tin well or use silicone liners.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly into each muffin cup.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the centers are set.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
Notes
- Silicone muffin cups make removal much easier.
- Let the egg bites rest for a few minutes before eating. They firm up as they cool.
- If your sausage is very fatty, draining a little grease helps prevent soggy egg bites.
