Description

Egg white pancakes have taken the internet by storm, thanks to fitness influencer Hailey Fernandes and her viral TikTok recipe. These pancakes are a delightful alternative to traditional pancakes, offering a light and fluffy texture that resembles a souffle. Not only are they simple to make, but they also pack a protein punch, making them a popular choice for health-conscious individuals.


Ingredients

Scale

½ cup of egg whites (approximately 8 large egg whites)

½ banana mashed

1 tsp of baking powder (she eyeballs this if this is all you taste you added too much) 

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan


Instructions

    1. Prepare the Batter:In a blender add the egg white, mashed banana, baking powder,  and vanilla extract until well combined.

    1. Preheat and Grease the Pan:Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray or butter.

    1. Cook the Pancakes:Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated skillet for each pancake.

    1. Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the pancakes to a serving plate and keep warm. Repeat the process with the remaining batter. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, approximately 2-3 minutes.


Notes

  • Whip it Up for Fluffiness: To achieve a light and airy texture, consider whipping the egg whites to soft peaks before incorporating them into the batter.
