Description

I wasn’t expecting this crazy combination to actually work but it was really good! The melted chocolate chips made into an actual chip for dipping was really clever and this is a fun twist on the classic dessert for chocolate covered strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint of strawberries, cut it into pieces
  • 2 tsp of sugar
  • 1 bag of milk or semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Cut and dice strawberries into small tiny pieces. Place in bowl and add sugar to the bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl add chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave for a minute, take it out and stir and continue microwave the chocolate for another minute.
  3. Place some parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread the chocolate onto the parchment paper.
  4. Place in the fridge or freezer and let the chocolate set for 30 minutes to 1 hour. When its completely frozen break into smaller “chip size” pieces.
  5. Dip the chocolate chips into the strawberry salsa and enjoy.

Notes

Feel free to modify the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference. instead of sugar or use a sugar free substitute.
