Description

Avocado toast is a trendy and delicious breakfast or snack option that's both easy to make and packed with nutrients. Using an air fryer allows you to achieve perfectly crispy toast without the need for excessive oil. Follow this simple recipe to create your own tasty avocado toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (whole grain, sourdough, or your preferred type)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Instructions

Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.

Lightly brush each slice of bread with olive oil to help it crisp up in the air fryer.

Place the slices of bread in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

Add lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper to the avocado. Mash with a fork until you reach your desired consistency.

Once the bread is toasted, spread the mashed avocado evenly over each slice.

Customize your avocado toast by adding any of the optional toppings such as cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, feta cheese, radish slices, or a poached egg for added protein.

Notes

  • Choose a ripe avocado: Look for avocados that are slightly soft to the touch but not mushy.
