Description

Caramel apple cookies are fun to make in the Fall time. This cookie is a basic snicker doodle type cookie with cinnamon and cooked apples with cinnamon and sugar get topped on them.

Ingredients

1 box cookie mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup brown sugar

Vanilla

4 Diced apples

1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

In a bowl mix together the sugar cookie mix, eggs, and oil. Mix well to combine.

Using a 1 in cookie scoop, scoop out the dough on to a lined baking sheet with a silipat or parchment paper.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

In a non stick skillet add the butter and let it melt. Add apples and continue cooking until they are soft. Then add the maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.

When the cookies are done and come out of the oven add about 2 tablespoons of the apple mixture on top and then drizzle with some caramel sauce. Repeat until the remaining apples are used up on the cookies.
