Description

Apple Pie Pull Apart Bread is an easy fall dessert made with refrigerated biscuits, cinnamon sugar, butter, and tender cooked apples. Each biscuit is flattened, coated in cinnamon sugar, and layered with buttery apples to create a sweet, pull-apart treat that tastes like apple pie in bread form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Water, added gradually as needed while cooking the apples

Instructions

  1. Dice the apples. Cook the apples in butter with cinnamon and sugar, gradually adding water as needed until the apples soften. About 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Flatten each biscuit into a round.
  3. Dip each biscuit in melted butter, then coat with cinnamon sugar. Add about a tablespoon of cooked apples and the sauce on top of the biscuits. Then repeat with the remaining biscuits.
  4. Place the biscuits horizontally in a bread loaf pan. Pour any reaming melted butter on top of the bisucits and then the apples.
  5. Layer the biscuits and cooked apples in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F until golden brown and cooked through in the center. Check the center carefully before removing from the oven.

Notes

Choose firm apples. Granny Smith apples provide a tart flavor, while Honeycrisp or Gala apples offer more sweetness.
