Description

Easy Walleye Tacos made with grilled walleye, crunchy cabbage slaw, creamy avocado crema, and crispy tortilla chips. A quick and delicious way to turn leftover grilled walleye into a fresh new meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 grilled walleye fillets, leftover and refrigerated
  • 4 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 2 cups bagged cabbage slaw mix
  • 1/2 cup avocado crema
  • 1/2 cup tortilla chips, lightly crushed
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, optional

Instructions

  1. Gently reheat the leftover grilled walleye in a skillet over medium-low heat or in the microwave until warmed through. Break into large flaky pieces.
  2. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for 20 to 30 seconds per side.
  3. Divide the walleye between the tortillas.
  4. Top with cabbage slaw and drizzle with avocado crema.
  5. Lightly crush the tortilla chips and sprinkle them over the tacos.
  6. Serve immediately with lime wedges and fresh cilantro, if desired.

Notes

  • Use leftover grilled walleye for an easy meal.
  • Reheat the fish gently to prevent it from drying out.
  • Add the tortilla chips right before serving so they stay crispy.
