Description

Cooking asparagus on a Blackstone is simple and easy just like cooking Asparagus on a grill. It takes no time at all and you can cook your protein of choice next to it.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound fresh asparagus

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 lemon (optional, for zest and juice)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water to remove any dirt and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus by snapping or cutting about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
  2. Season the Asparagus: In a large mixing bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using. Make sure each spear is evenly coated with the seasoning.
  3. Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Set your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Allow it to preheat for about 5-10 minutes until it reaches a temperature of around 375-400°F (190-200°C).
  4. Grill the Asparagus: Place the seasoned asparagus spears on the hot griddle in a single layer. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the asparagus is tender and has a nice char. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the asparagus spears.
  5.

Notes

  1. Serve: Transfer the grilled asparagus to a serving platter and enjoy immediately. It's a perfect side dish for any grilled meats, poultry, or fish.
