Asparagus is a versatile and nutritious vegetable that has been enjoyed for centuries. Originating from the Mediterranean region, this perennial plant is known for its slender, spear-like stalks and vibrant green color. It can be prepared in a variety of ways, including steaming, grilling, roasting, or even eating raw in salads.

Asparagus is not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients, making it a great addition to any diet.

Step 3 Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Set your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Allow it to preheat for about 5-10 minutes until it reaches a temperature of around 375-400°F (190-200°C).

Step 4 Grill the Asparagus: Place the seasoned asparagus spears on the hot griddle in a single layer. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the asparagus is tender and has a nice char. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the asparagus spears.

Serve Tips Transfer the grilled asparagus to a serving platter and enjoy immediately. It's a perfect side dish for any grilled meats, poultry, or fish.

    Recipe tips for Blackstone Asparagus

    • For even cooking, try to select asparagus spears that are similar in thickness.
    • If you prefer your asparagus more tender, you can cook them a bit longer, but be careful not to overcook and lose the nice crunch.
    • Pair with a light vinaigrette or aioli for dipping if you want to add a bit more flair to your dish.

    How do I store leftovers?

Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic,  whatever!  Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container.
