Description
This recipe for cooking chicken breasts on a griddle is quick to make on a Blackstone. Use your favorite seasoning or add it to your meal prep for easy dinners throughout the week.
Ingredients
- 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Seasoning of choice - I like Lawry’s, Mrs Dash, or Dano’s.
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat, approximately 375-400°F. This ensures that the cooking surface is hot enough to sear the chicken and lock in the juices.
Before you place the chicken on the griddle, pat the breasts dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. This helps in achieving a good sear. Lightly coat each chicken breast with olive oil to prevent sticking and to help the seasonings adhere. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and any other chosen spices.
Once seasoned, place the chicken breasts on the preheated griddle. Allow them to cook undisturbed for about 5-7 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the breasts. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 165°F.
Notes
Use your favorite seasoning to flavor the chicken.
