Description
There’s nothing like a stack of golden, cinnamon-scented French toast cooked on the Blackstone. It’s crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside, and just begs to be topped with fresh berries or a drizzle of maple syrup.
Ingredients
8 slices thick-cut bread (like brioche, Texas toast, or sourdough)
4 large eggs
¾ cup milk (or half & half for richness)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Butter or oil, for greasing the griddle
Instructions
- Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat (around 350°F).
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a shallow dish.
- Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides fully but not soaking too long.
- Grease the griddle lightly with butter or oil.
- Cook the French toast for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm with toppings like fresh fruit, syrup, powdered sugar, or Greek yogurt.
Notes
Use day-old bread or slightly dry it out in the oven first—this helps it soak up the custard without falling apart.
Don’t overcrowd the griddle—leave space to flip easily.
Keep warm in the oven (200°F) if you're cooking in batches.
