Description
I’ve never shared a mushroom recipe on this site before, but since I love my Blackstone so much I thought I’d give cooking mushrooms on a griddle a try. You can add them to burgers or serve them on the side.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of fresh mushrooms (such as button, cremini, or portobello)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice or a splash of balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the Griddle: Preheat your griddle over medium-high heat. You want it hot enough to sear the mushrooms but not so hot that they burn quickly.
- Cook the Mushrooms: Once the griddle is hot, add the olive oil or melted butter. Allow it to heat up for about 30 seconds. Add the mushrooms to the griddle in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the griddle to ensure each mushroom gets a nice sear. Cook the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They should become golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Season and Serve: During the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and thyme. Stir well to combine and cook just until the garlic becomes fragrant, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
Transfer the mushrooms to a serving dish and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
