Description
This is pretty much the classic broccoli salad recipe people bring to potlucks and holiday gatherings. For your blog, you could easily make it more Weight Watchers-friendly by using light mayo and reducing the sugar.
Ingredients
4 cups fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1/3 cup raisins or dried cranberries
1/3 cup sunflower seeds (or chopped nuts)
Dressing
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Instructions

Wash and cut the broccoli into small bite-sized pieces.

In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, red onion, bacon, raisins (or cranberries), and sunflower seeds.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to coat.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
