Description
In recent years, the carnivore diet has gained popularity among health and fitness enthusiasts. This diet emphasizes consuming animal products exclusively, which can pose a challenge for those who miss traditional staples like bread
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 large eggs
- 4 oz plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 stick melted butter or ghee
- 2 cups of crushed Pork Rinds
- Optional: spices like garlic powder or herbs for flavor
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Blend the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, greek yogurt, melted butter, and crushed pork rinds. Use a hand mixer or blender to mix until smooth and well combined.
- Pour and Bake: Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle your choice of spices or herbs on top for added flavor.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Slice: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and enjoy!
Notes
Because this omelet loaf is egg-based and baked, it naturally has a dense, custardy texture. Adding butter and optional mix-ins helps balance the richness and keeps it from tasting flat.
