Description

When the temperature drops and the days grow shorter, there’s nothing quite like a steaming bowl of chili to warm you up from the inside out. If you’re a fan of hearty, meat-filled dishes, then carnivore chili is your ticket to gastronomical bliss.

Ingredients

Scale

pounds ground beef: Choose a good quality beef for the best flavor.

1 pound ground pork: Adds richness and depth to the chili.

1 pound beef chuck, cut into small cubes: For a hearty texture.

3 tablespoons chili powder: Adjust according to your spice preference.

1 tablespoon cumin: For a warm, earthy flavor.

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper: Optional, for heat lovers.

1 cup beef broth: Enhances the meaty flavor.

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and pork over medium heat. Once browned, remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the beef chuck cubes. Sear them until they are browned on all sides, then remove and set aside with the ground meats.
  3. Return all the meats to the pot and add the chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to coat the meats with the spices.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes (optional) and beef broth. Stir everything together, ensuring the ingredients are well combined. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours. Stir occasionally, allowing the flavors to deepen and the meats to become tender.
  6. Taste the chili and add salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or freshly chopped cilantro.

Notes

  • Opt for high-quality meats for the best flavor and texture. Consider visiting a local butcher for fresh cuts.
