Description
When the temperature drops and the days grow shorter, there’s nothing quite like a steaming bowl of chili to warm you up from the inside out. If you’re a fan of hearty, meat-filled dishes, then carnivore chili is your ticket to gastronomical bliss.
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (80/20 or 85/15)
1/2 cup beef bone broth
2 tablespoons butter, ghee, or tallow
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder, garlic powder or onion powder
Instructions
Brown the ground beef
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the butter or tallow over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Add seasoning and broth
Stir in salt, optional seasonings, and beef broth. Add liver if using and cook for 2–3 more minutes.
Simmer
Lower the heat to medium-low and let everything simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and stew-like.
