Cookie Butter Rice Krispy Treats

These rice krispy treats are loaded with cookie butter from Trader Joe's. If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, you can always use Biscoff spread. You can find it at Wal-mart and it's usually by the peanut butter.


  • 1 10 ounce bag of marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 5 cups of rice crispy cereal
  • 3/4 cup of cookie butter spread
  • 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup of melted chocolate chips


  1. Stovetop method: In a large pot, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and keep stirring until they are melted together on medium high heat. Once the marshmallows and butter have melted, stir in the cookie butter spread. Then add in 5 cups of the rice crispy cereal . Add in the 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows and stir. Not until they're melted though.

    Microwave method: Add butter and bag of marshmallows to a medium-large microwave safe bowl. Set the microwave for 1 minute. Mix everything together and check to see if the marshmallows need a little bit longer to cook. Add in cookie butter, then rice crispy cereal.

  2. Spray an 8X8 pan with non stick spray and spread the cereal and marshmallow mixture into the pan. Let the treats cool for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt some chocolate in a microwave safe bowl on high for 1 minute. Drizzle on cereal treats.
  4. Cut into 15 equal bars. Serving Size 1 bar
