Description
These cookie fries are soft in the center, lightly crisp around the edges, and perfect for dipping into milk. They bake up like thick cookie sticks with lots of mini chocolate chips in every bite.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until a soft cookie dough forms.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Scoop portions of dough and roll them into long fry-shaped sticks about 4–5 inches long. Place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between each one.
Slightly flatten the tops so they bake evenly.
Bake for 10–13 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
