Description

This Frozen Apple and Orange Fall Sangria is a beautiful autumn drink made with crisp Sauvignon Blanc, apple cider, frozen apple slices, fresh oranges, and cinnamon sticks

Ingredients

1 bottle (750 ml) Sauvignon Blanc

2 cups apple cider

2 medium apples, sliced and frozen

1 large orange, sliced

2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Freeze the apples. Slice the apples into thin wedges and freeze them until solid. You can do this several hours ahead or overnight.
  2. Prepare the orange. Wash the orange and cut it into thin rounds. Freeze those as well.
  3. Combine the ingredients. Pour the Sauvignon Blanc and apple cider into a large glass pitcher. Add the frozen apple slices, orange rounds, and cinnamon sticks.
  4. Chill the sangria. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours. For a stronger cinnamon flavor, you can let it chill overnight.
  5. Serve. Stir gently before serving. Pour into glasses with some of the fruit, and enjoy!

Notes

Choose a crisp white wine. Sauvignon Blanc works well, but Pinot Grigio is another good option.

Freeze the apples ahead of time. This helps keep the drink chilled without immediately diluting it with ice.

Adjust the sweetness. Add a little more apple cider if you prefer a sweeter sangria.Don't rush the chilling time. Allowing the ingredients to mingle helps develop the flavor.
