Description

Cooking ground beef on a Blackstone griddle is straightforward and offers endless versatility. You can use the taco meat to make ground beef tacos. You can choose to make your own taco seasoning or use a store bought taco seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Begin by preheating your Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat. Aim for a surface temperature of around 350°F to 400°F. This range is ideal for cooking ground beef, ensuring it browns nicely without burning.

Step 2: Cooking the Ground Beef: Once your griddle is hot, drizzle the olive oil over the surface. This will help prevent sticking and add an extra layer of flavor. Spread the oil evenly using a spatula or griddle tool. Then, add the seasoned ground beef to the griddle. If you're cooking crumbled beef for tacos or a similar dish, break the beef into smaller chunks. For burgers, place the patties onto the griddle without overcrowding.

Step 4: Flipping and Finishing: Use your griddle tools and spatulas to help chop up the ground beef. For crumbled beef, keep stirring and breaking the meat into smaller pieces until it's thoroughly cooked, which usually takes about 8-10 minutes. Sprinkle the crumbled ground beef with Taco Seasoning and continue stirring until it's all coated.

Notes
