Description

Cooking chicken sausage in an air fryer is a simple and delicious way to enjoy a healthier version of this popular dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken sausages (pre-cooked or fresh, depending on preference)
  • Olive oil spray (optional)
  • Your choice of seasonings (optional, such as Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, or simply salt and pepper)

Instructions

  1. reheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This step ensures that your chicken sausages will start cooking at the right temperature for a perfectly even cook.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Sausages: If you're using pre-cooked chicken sausages, you can proceed directly to cooking them. For fresh chicken sausages, ensure they are not frozen and lightly prick them with a fork to prevent them from bursting as they cook. Optionally, you can lightly spray or brush them with olive oil and season them according to your taste.
  3. Cook the Chicken Sausages: Place the chicken sausages in the air fryer basket, ensuring they're not touching to allow the air to circulate freely around them. Cook for about 10-12 minutes if they're pre-cooked or 15-20 minutes if they're fresh, turning them halfway through the cooking time. The exact time may vary depending on the size of the sausages and your air fryer model, so it's a good idea to start checking them a few minutes before they're supposed to be done.

Notes

Serve with hot dog buns of choice and some ketchup!
