Description
When it comes to versatile, delicious, and easy-to-make meals, taco bowls top the list. They are the perfect fusion of flavors and textures, offering a delightful culinary experience in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef - I used 93% lean ground beef and browned it in a non stick skillet.
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning - Make your own taco seasoning or use a pre packaged seasoninig
- Cooked White Basmati Rice - I like the 90 second microwave rice packets from Target they have Basmati Rice, Quino, or Jasmine Rice.
- Sliced Tomatoes, salsa, or pico de galo
- 1 15 oz can Drained black beans
- 8 oz Cheese - Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- Other Taco Toppings - see ideas above recipe
Instructions
Prepare the ground beef. Start by heating a skillet over medium-high heat and adding a bit of oil. Once the oil is hot, add one pound of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon or spatula.
Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then return the skillet to the heat and add your seasonings.
Add in taco seasoning to ground mix. Add the seasoning into the beef, adding a bit of water to help it blend and coat the meat evenly. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until the liquid has mostly evaporated, then remove the skillet from heat.
Cook the rice however you like. I like the 90 second microwave taco bowls that cook in super fast in the microwave.
Assemble your taco bowls. Start by filling each crispy bowl with a generous scoop of the seasoned ground beef. Then add your favorite toppings.

If there is any leftover ground beef store in air tight containers in the fridge then make taco bowls throughout the week!
