Description

When it comes to versatile, delicious, and easy-to-make meals, taco bowls top the list. They are the perfect fusion of flavors and textures, offering a delightful culinary experience in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb Ground Beef - I used 93% lean ground beef and browned it in a non stick skillet.
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning - Make your own taco seasoning or use a pre packaged seasoninig
  • Cooked White Basmati Rice - I like the 90 second microwave rice packets from Target they have Basmati Rice, Quino, or Jasmine Rice.
  • Sliced Tomatoes, salsa, or pico de galo
  • 1 15 oz can Drained black beans
  • 8 oz Cheese - Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • Other Taco Toppings - see ideas above recipe

Instructions

Prepare the ground beef. Start by heating a skillet over medium-high heat and adding a bit of oil. Once the oil is hot, add one pound of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon or spatula.

Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then return the skillet to the heat and add your seasonings.

Add in taco seasoning to ground mix. Add the seasoning into the beef, adding a bit of water to help it blend and coat the meat evenly. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until the liquid has mostly evaporated, then remove the skillet from heat.

Cook the rice however you like. I like the 90 second microwave taco bowls that cook in super fast in the microwave.

Assemble your taco bowls. Start by filling each crispy bowl with a generous scoop of the seasoned ground beef. Then add your favorite toppings
