Description
Give your burgers a little twist this Summer with some Jerk seasoning and a grilled pineapple on top. You will automatically be transported to a tropical island without the expensive plane tickets! 🙂
Ingredients

- 1 lb 96% lean ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
- 4 slices of pineapple slices, fresh or fresh tomato slices
- 4 slices of pepper jack cheese or Swiss cheese
- 4 lettuce leafs or spinach leaves
- 4 light wholewheat hamburger buns or brioche buns
Garlic Sauce
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup of light mayonnaise
Vegetable Oil for grill
Instructions
- Preheat a grill to medium-high.
- Mix the cold ground beef, seasoning, and garlic cloves in a medium bowl.
- Form ground beef into 6-ounce patties and make an indentation in each.
- Season the patties on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Lightly brush the grill grates with vegetable oil, then grill the patties, indentation-side up, until marked on the bottom, about 5 minutes.
- Flip and cook until marked and slightly firm, about 3 more minutes for medium doneness.
- While the burgers are grilling, grill the pineapple slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until heated through and grill marks appear.
- For Jerk cheeseburgers, top with 1 slice of pepper jack cheese during the last minute of cooking; cover the grill to melt.
- Mix the mayo and minced garlic together in a bowl.
- Serve the burgers with a grilled pineapple ring, garlic aioli sauce, and lettuce.
