  • Author: Jenna
  • Yield: 4 1x

  • 1 lb 96% lean ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • 4 slices of pineapple slices, fresh or fresh tomato slices
  • 4 slices of pepper jack cheese or Swiss cheese
  • 4 lettuce leafs or spinach leaves
  • 4 light wholewheat hamburger buns or brioche buns

Garlic Sauce

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup of light mayonnaise

Vegetable Oil for grill

  1. Preheat a grill to medium-high.
  2. Mix the cold ground beef, seasoning, and garlic cloves in a medium bowl.
  3. Form ground beef into 6-ounce patties and make an indentation in each.
  4. Season the patties on both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. Lightly brush the grill grates with vegetable oil, then grill the patties, indentation-side up, until marked on the bottom, about 5 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook until marked and slightly firm, about 3 more minutes for medium doneness.
  7. While the burgers are grilling, grill the pineapple slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until heated through and grill marks appear.
  8. For Jerk cheeseburgers, top with 1 slice of pepper jack cheese during the last minute of cooking; cover the grill to melt.
  9. Mix the mayo and minced garlic together in a bowl.
  10. Serve the burgers with a grilled pineapple ring, garlic aioli sauce, and lettuce.
  11. Serving Size: 1 burger
