Pizza Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

1 pound 98% lean ground turkey fat-free  or 4 Jennie-O 90/10 Lean Turkey Burgers

1 tsp of Oregano

1 tsp of Garlic Powder

1/8 tsp of crushed red pepper

Salt and Pepper to Taste

2 plum tomatoes

4 light hamburger buns

12 slices of Turkey Pepperoni

4 slices of Mozzarella Cheese

4 tablespoons of Marinara Sauce


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, salt, garlic, oregano, garlic powder,  and crushed red pepper; divide turkey mixture into four balls and then gently press each one into 4-inch round patties.
  2. Coat a large griddle, outdoor grill rack or stovetop grill pan with cooking spray; preheat to medium-high..
  3. Grill turkey burgers, flipping once, about 5 minutes per side for medium (or to desired degree of doneness). Top each burger with cheese about 2 minutes before fully finished cooking on second side; cook until cheese melts.
  4. Serve each burger on a bun,  1/4 of tomatoes and 6 slices pepperoni.
