If you love that warm, buttery, pull-apart cheesy bread from Domino’s, you are going to be obsessed with this homemade version. It has that same crispy edge, soft center, and gooey melted cheese that makes it hard to stop at just one piece.

Dominos stuffed cheesy bread cut into slices.

The best part is you can make this right at home using simple ingredients from Aldi or whatever you already have in your kitchen. No delivery fees, no waiting, and honestly, it tastes just as good if not better. I've been loving Aldi's pizza dough lately and so far I've made this garlic bread, Ham and Pineapple Pizza, and Taco Pizza Recipe!

This recipe is perfect for game day, a quick side for pasta night, or even just a snack when you are craving something cheesy and comforting.

    Why You Will Like This

Dominos stuffed cheese bread is hands down my favorite thing to order off their menu when I do order anything from them. It's also very easy to make at home and here's why!

    • Tastes just like Domino’s cheesy bread
    • Made with simple, budget-friendly ingredients
    • Ready in under 20 minutes
    • Crispy edges with a soft, fluffy center
    • Perfect for dipping in marinara or ranch
    • Easy to customize with different cheeses or toppings

    Ingredients Needed for This Recipe

    • 1 store-bought pizza dough - Store-bought dough works perfectly here. Aldi pizza dough is a great budget option and gives you that classic texture.
    • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese. - This is the main cheese that gives you that gooey, stretchy melt. Use shredded for even coverage.
    • ½ cup shredded cheese blend - for the top of the bread
    • 3 tablespoon butter - Melted butter helps create that rich flavor and golden crust on the bottom.
    • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder - Adds that signature garlic flavor without overpowering the bread.
    • Salt - to taste
    • Parmesan cheese - Adds a slightly salty, nutty flavor on top that really finishes it off.
    • Optional: Marinara sauce - Perfect for dipping and gives it that full Domino’s experience.

How to Make Stuffed Cheesy Bread

Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle, about half an inch thick. Do not worry about making it perfect. Rustic works just fine.

Next, add a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese to one side of the dough. Do not skimp here because this is what makes it so good.

Mozzarella cheese on top of dough.

Fold the other side of the over the cheese. Cut the dough into 8 equal portions and spread the other cheese on top of this.

Cheese sticks cut into 8 slices.

Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

    Cheese on top of breadsticks.

Brush melted butter evenly over the dough, making sure to cover the edges. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the top. Then bake for another 4-5 minutes.

Baked Dominos stuffed cheesy bread topped with garlic and cheese.

Once it comes out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into breadstick-sized pieces.

Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

    Pro Tips

    • Use a hot oven to get those crispy edges
    • Do not overload with sauce before baking or it can get soggy
    • Add a little extra butter on top right after baking for more flavor
    • Try mixing mozzarella with provolone for a more authentic taste
    • If you want a thicker bread, let the dough rest for 10 minutes before baking

    Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

To reheat, place in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 3 to 4 minutes or until warmed through. This helps bring back the crispiness.

You can also reheat in the oven, but avoid the microwave if possible since it can make the bread soft.

    Recipe FAQs

    Can I use homemade dough?

Yes, homemade dough works great if you have it on hand. Just keep the thickness similar for best results.

    What cheese works best?

Mozzarella is the base, but adding provolone or a pizza blend takes it up a notch.

Can I make this in the air fryer?

Yes, just adjust the size to fit your basket and cook at 350 degrees until golden and bubbly.

How do I keep the bottom crispy?

Make sure your baking sheet is preheated or lightly greased, and avoid adding too many wet toppings.
