    Why This Works

If you're a fan of the Dirty Spaghetti Tiktok Recipe and Dirty Cabbage Recipe you are going to love these swamp potatoes! The name might sound weird but I like recipes with weird names for them. lol

I think a ranch seasoning packet or brown gravy packet would work well with these swamp potatoes if you can't find onion soup mix.

    • Uses simple pantry and refrigerator staples.
    • The slow cooker does most of the work.
    • Potatoes become tender and flavorful.
    • Smoked sausage adds rich, savory flavor.
    • Green beans add color and texture.
    • Perfect for busy weeknights.
    • Great for potlucks and family gatherings.
    • Easy to customize with your favorite seasonings.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Gold Potatoes โ€“ Baby gold potatoes or Yukon Gold potatoes work best because they become tender without falling apart during cooking.
    • Smoked Sausage โ€“ Adds smoky flavor and protein to the dish. Kielbasa, andouille, or your favorite smoked sausage all work well.
    • Fresh Green Beans โ€“ Fresh green beans provide texture and balance the richness of the sausage and butter.
    • Onion โ€“ Adds savory flavor as it slowly cooks with the other ingredients.
    • Olive Oil โ€“ Helps coat the potatoes and seasonings evenly.
    • Kosher Salt โ€“ Enhances the flavors of the dish.
    • Black Pepper โ€“ Adds a mild kick and depth of flavor.
    • Cajun Seasoning โ€“ Gives the recipe its signature Southern-style flavor.
    • Onion Soup Mix โ€“ Adds rich onion flavor and helps season the potatoes.
    • Garlic Powder โ€“ Complements the sausage and vegetables perfectly.
    • Butter โ€“ Creates a rich, buttery coating that brings all the ingredients together.

    Serve warm and enjoy.

      • Cut the potatoes into similar-sized pieces for even cooking.
      • Use andouille sausage if you want extra Cajun flavor.
      • Stir the mixture once halfway through cooking if possible.
      • Fresh green beans hold their texture better than canned green beans.
      • Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for additional heat.
      • For extra richness, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top before serving.
