The Carnivore diet has been exploding on Tiktok lately and I’ve been seeing a lot of videos about it. Animal based diets are also trending right now and I’m here for it. The only thing difference between the two is animal based allows you to also eat fruits and vegetables.

If you’re like me you ate a lot of sugar in the last 2 weeks and I’m really tired of it. I’ve been learning a lot about the animal based diet and carnivore diet. I feel really good when I eat steak and grass fed rib eye or ground beef (that I get at aldi.) Don’t know if its the iron but its gotta to be some type of vitamin or mineral I’m missing. I try to eat low carb for 2 meals a day.

One intriguing component of this diet is carnivore mayonnaise, a delicious and versatile condiment that can elevate your meals while adhering to the strict guidelines of the carnivore lifestyle. In this blog post, we will explore what carnivore mayonnaise is, how to make it, and how it can enhance your culinary experiences.

    What is Carnivore Mayonnaise?

Carnivore mayonnaise is a creamy, rich spread made entirely from animal-derived ingredients. Unlike traditional mayonnaise, which often contains vegetable oils and other plant-based additives, carnivore mayonnaise is crafted to align with the principles of the carnivore diet.

This means using ingredients like egg yolks, animal fats, and natural seasonings to create a condiment that is not only delicious but also in harmony with this eating philosophy.

You can use this mayonnaise to make a carnivore style tuna salad or egg salad.

    Why Choose Carnivore Mayonnaise?

There are several reasons why someone might opt for carnivore mayonnaise over its traditional counterpart:

Diet Compliance: For those strictly adhering to the carnivore diet, carnivore mayonnaise ensures you stay within your dietary boundaries without compromising on flavor.

By eliminating vegetable oils and other additives, carnivore mayonnaise can be a healthier alternative, reducing the intake of processed ingredients and potential allergens.

Creating your own carnivore mayonnaise at home is simple and allows you to customize the taste and texture to your liking. You can even use it to make Carnivore Egg Salad.

    Ingredients Needed

    • 3 hard boiled eggs The yolks will emulsify the fats and create the creamy texture mayonnaise is known for.
    • 2 tablespoons of ghee or melted butter - Ghee is a very calorie-dense and adds most of the fat.
    • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice: Contributes flavor with negligible calories or carbs
    • ⅓ cup of water
    • Salt to taste: Enhance the natural flavors with a pinch of salt.

    How to Make Carnivore Mayonnaise

Step 1 Prepare Your Ingredients: Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. This helps the emulsification process.

Step 2 Blend the Egg Yolks: In a mixing bowl or food processor, whisk the egg yolks until they are thick and pale.

Step 3 Slowly Add the Fat: Gradually add the melted animal fat, a few drops at a time, while continuously whisking or blending. This step is crucial for achieving the right consistency.

    How to make Carnivore Mayonnaise.

Step 4 Add Lemon Juice, Water, and Salt: Once the fat is fully incorporated, mix in the lemon juice and salt. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.

Step 5 Store Appropriately: Transfer the mayonnaise to a clean jar and store it in the refrigerator. Use it within a week for optimal freshness.

    How to Serve Carnivore Mayonnaise

Carnivore mayonnaise is not just a spread; it can transform your meals. Here are a few ways to incorporate it into your diet:

    • Dipping Sauce: Use it as a dip for grilled or roasted meats. Its creamy texture pairs well with the savory goodness of steaks and chicken.
    • Egg Topping: Add a dollop to scrambled or poached eggs for an extra layer of flavor.
    • Salad Dressing: Mix with a bit of vinegar or more lemon juice to create a carnivore-friendly dressing for meat-based salads.

    Conclusion

Carnivore mayonnaise is a testament to the creativity and flexibility within the carnivore diet. It showcases how simple ingredients can come together to create something delicious and compliant with dietary restrictions. Whether you are a seasoned carnivore or exploring new dietary horizons, this mayonnaise offers a flavorful addition to your kitchen repertoire. Give it a try, and you might find it becoming a staple in your culinary adventures.

Definitely recommend! I've used full eggs, some apple cider vinegar instead of lemon juice. Came out thick Mayo consistency, delightfully tasting and so much healthier than regular Mayo. Brilliant!

You can add the whole hard boiled egg or just the yolks. I've done both.

Should we add the egg whites at any point? If so, when?
