💙 Why You Will Like This Recipe
I know a lot of people will come here and they think that a donut will ruin their diet or that donut is too high in points for me. These donuts are made with healthy ingredients such as unsweetened applesauce, egg whites, and milk.
There are little amounts of sugar used in this recipe because the blueberries give them enough sweetness for my taste. One thing that I do when I want to bake sweet things like this is to save up my points for them or eat more zero point foods to be able to enjoy something like this.

Ingredients Needed for Blueberry Donuts
- Self Rising Flour - is a type of flour that already contains baking powder and salt, which are essential ingredients in many baked goods.
- Sugar - Or regular granulated sugar, I do not use sugar substitutes in any of my recipes but if you know the conversions feel free to do so
- Unsweetened almond milk -
- Vanilla - It is made by macerating and soaking vanilla beans in a mixture of water and Vodka. Use a good pure vanilla instead of the imitation vanilla extract.
- Unsweetened applesauce is used instead of oil
- Blueberries
- Powdered sugar - Is also known as confectioner's sugar or icing sugar, it is a finely ground sugar that is commonly used in baking and dessert making.
- Milk - Dairy does not like me at all so I go for a lactose free milk such as Fairlife or almond milk. It also has more protein in it.
- Blueberries
- See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
How to Make Baked Blueberry Donuts
Step 1 Preheat oven to 325.
Step 2 In a bowl mix together the dry ingredients: flour and salt.

Step 3 In another bowl mix together the wet ingredients: sugar, milk, eggs whites, and applesauce. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well blended. Add blueberries to the donut batter and gently fold them in.

Step 5 In a dough pan, use a tablespoon and drop two tablespoons full of the batter into each side of the doughnut pan. If the batter doesn’t look like it will fill the hole completely use your fingers to spread the batter evenly.
Step 6 Bake for 16 minutes. Glaze is optional and if made it will add on more points.

This is the donut pan I used to make these.

What app are you using to get 1.3 points? I use the WW Recipe Builder.

Thanks for sharing. I tried this recipe but the batter was way too thick. I added an extra whole egg. They turned out well, even though I forgot to add the vanilla and blueberries. 🙂 I am on WW Blue, and I think these work out to about 1.33 pts each, so I am rounding it off to 2 pts each. On Blue WW eggs are zero pts.

Thanks Rick.

They should be more like a cake. I hope you can get them to work! 🙂

I’m not sure what I did wrong but mine came out tasting more like a blueberry bagel instead of a donut! (Still a plus though ) will try again!

These were pretty good but you don't mention when to mix in the blueberries. Also, I think the second ingredient for the glaze is supposed to be milk.
Mine were a bit thick and was afraid to try to mix the blueberries into the dough so put them on top of the dough in the pan but they didn't sink nor did the batter rise over the blueberries. But still VERY GOOD!
