    Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage

These maple chicken sausage patties from Wal-Mart are one of my favorites to have for breakfast the morning. I'll serve them with some scrambled eggs and cheese for an easy low carb breakfast.

Sausage of any kind is great in the air fryer like these Chicken Sausage in Air Fryer or Johnsonville Sausage in Air Fryer.

Air Fryer Arby’s Curly Fries or Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables are also great in the air fryer!

While you're waiting for your scrambled eggs to cook on the stove or griddle the air fryer is an excellent tool to use to help with getting food faster on the table.

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage

    • 1 bag of maple sausage patties (frozen)
    • 2 teaspoon of vegetable oil or olive oil spray
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Equipment:

    • Air fryer
    • parchment paper
    • Tongs or a spatula

How to Make Air Fryer Breakfast Sausages

Step 1 Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2 Place some parchment paper down in your air fryer basket and add the sausage patties. They do not need to be thawed. The parchment paper is optional.

What can I serve with Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage?

Here is a list of ideas for what to serve with breakfast sausage to create a delicious and balanced meal:

    1. Scrambled Eggs or Fried Eggs - a great source of protein to top off the maple sausages
    2. Toast or English Muffins - serve with your favorite jam and peanut butter
    3. Cottage Cheese Pancakes - While the sausages are cooking in the air fryer make the pancakes on a griddle or stove top.
    4. Fruit Salad - Make a simple side dish such as this Easy Fruit Salad with Vanilla Pudding all you need is fruit and instant vanilla pudding mix!
    5. Mimosas are always a must have at any breakfast event!
    6. Air Fryer Mixed Berry Muffins - Did you know you can also bake muffins in the air fryer? Try these out next after making sausages.

    Recipe Tips

    1. Preheating ensures that the fries cook evenly and achieve the desired crispiness.
    2. Avoid Overcrowding: Cooking in smaller batches will help the fries cook more evenly and get crispier.
    3. Shaking the Basket: Shaking the basket halfway through cooking helps ensure that all the fries cook evenly.
    4. Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or Cajun spice to add an extra kick to your fries.
    5. Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container.
