If you haven’t heard by now Starbucks released 2 new drinks this week. The Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and the Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken espresso. I tried the Brown Sugar Oatmilk drink and the taste reminded me of a snickerdoodle or cinnamon roll. The pic above is pretty much what the drink looks like when it's all mixed together.

Some people on the Internet were complaining that $6.00 is a lot for this drink (and I kind of agree with that). It can be easily made at home if you have all the proper equipment and ingredients to make it.
My whole life I never liked coffee and I was never a Starbucks fan until the year 2020. In 2020 I became really addicted to Starbucks and Tiktok. Probably because of all the other Starbucks fans on Tiktok. A lot of the videos I watch on that app, people always have a Starbucks drink in their hand.
What Espresso machine do I use?
I have a Nepresso Pixie machine and purchased the Starbucks pods. The Blonde Espresso roast is one of the pod flavors. Just brew 2 shots of that and shake it up with some brown sugar (as little or as much as you like) and pour some Oatmilk over the espresso.
Ingredients for Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
Shots of Espresso - I used the Blonde Roast pods. You can also use some really strong coffee of choice.
Dark Brown Sugar - Instead of using brown sugar you can easily make brown sugar syrup at home or purchase the brown sugar syrups online. Amazon also has a Sugar-Free brown sugar syrup.
Oatmilk - Any type of non-dairy milk will work but Starbucks uses the Oatly brand. Purchase something similar here.
Ground Cinnamon - Don’t need much just a sprinkle of it on top.
Vanilla syrup - optional

Frequently Asked Questions and Tips
What can I serve this with?
Usually, my favorite thing to order with a drink at Starbucks is their Sausage and Egg Breakfast Sandwich or the Sous VIde egg bites.
How to store leftovers: Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container before putting it in the freezer or fridge.
This can be prepped the day ahead? Yes it can, just make some espresso the day before so all the ingredients are ready and keep it cool in the fridge.
