This pork chops and apple recipe is the perfect Fall meal and it all comes together in one pan. Ready in less than 30 minutes

I eat a lot of chicken, lean ground beef, and eggs most of the time. Every now and then I like to switch it up a bit and get the boneless pork chops. I will wrap them up individually and freeze the other pork chops so when I want a quick meal I can just take the pork chop out of the freezer and defrost it. Why do people not eat more pork chops? Pork is delicious and tastes like chicken anyway. Apples and pork chops are a food combo made in heaven and if you have never tried this combo yet please do! It is fabulous.

    Weight Watcher Substitutions

Without any substitutions, this dish is 13 WW Freestyle points and it is pretty high in points do to the maple syrup. To make this dish more WW friendly, I would use sugar-free maple syrup, and reduce the amount of butter and olive to 1 tablespoon each.

The points change drastically if you use sugar-free maple syrup. This dish is now 6 points instead of 13! Isn't it crazy how just these substitutes can change the points so much? I will leave a note in the recipe card below about this.

What to serve with Pork Chops and Apples?

Her notes say to serve this dish with creamy grits, but we had Baked Acorn Squash with Brown Sugar and Butter instead. This recipe is also fine on its own but I usually serve up a salad with fresh spinach. Cauliflower mashed potatoes or creamy cauliflower would also be good.

    Ingredients Needed

    • 6 whole Boneless Pork Chops, About ½-inch Thick
Olive Oil - Look for olive oils that are labeled as extra virgin, cold-pressed, and unfiltered for the highest quality.
Unsalted butter - is the most commonly used type of butter in baking, as it allows for more control over the amount of salt in the recipe.
Gala Apples, Diced - or any type of apple will work
Dry White Wine - is a type of wine that contains little to no residual sugar, making it less sweet than other types of white wine.
Apple Cider Vinegar - is a type of vinegar made by fermenting apple cider. It has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for a variety of ailments.
Maple Syrup - it's important to look for a pure maple syrup that doesn't contain any additives or preservatives. Grade A maple syrup is lighter in color and has a milder flavor, while Grade B maple syrup is darker and has a stronger, more robust flavor.
Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper - to taste

      Chicken stock would definitely work.

What could you use in lieu of the white wine? Would apple cider work? Or perhaps chicken stock?

IF you think it will still taste good go for it.
