Air Fryer Cheesecake Stuffed Apples are the perfect easy dessert when you want something sweet, warm, and comforting without making an entire cheesecake. Crisp apples are filled with a creamy cheesecake-inspired filling and cooked in the air fryer until the apples are tender and the filling is warm and delicious.

This is such a fun way to turn simple apples into a dessert that feels a little special. The air fryer cooks the apples quickly while giving the edges a delicious roasted flavor. Add your favorite cheesecake toppings and you have an easy dessert that is perfect for a weeknight treat, fall baking, or when you have a few apples that need to be used.

Now, I'm in the mood for apples. It is mandatory, during the Fall season that you must go apple picking at least once. Now that I'm single, I do not need to have a gazillion bags of picked apples from the orchard, so I just go to the grocery store and get one or 3 of them for myself.

    Why This Works

I love using the air fryer for desserts because it can turn simple ingredients into something that tastes like you spent much more time in the kitchen.

The apples become tender as they cook, while the cheesecake filling stays creamy and rich. You also get a nice contrast between the warm apple and cool toppings if you add whipped cream or ice cream when serving.

This recipe is also much easier than making a traditional cheesecake. There is no crust to prepare, no water bath, and no need to wait hours for an entire cheesecake to chill. You can make individual servings right in the air fryer.

For the best results, choose apples that are firm enough to hold their shape while cooking. Sweet-tart apples work particularly well because their flavor pairs nicely with the creamy filling.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Butter - A small amount of melted butter helps add richness and gives the apples a delicious finish.
    • Brown Sugar  - Sugar or regular granulated sugar, I do not use sugar substitutes in any of my recipes but if you know the conversions feel free to do so
    • Cinnamon   - for a fresh warm scent
    • Apples  - Choose firm apples that are large enough to hold the cheesecake filling. Honeycrisp, Fuji, Gala, or Granny Smith apples are all good choices.
    • Cream Cheese - Softened cream cheese creates the rich, creamy cheesecake filling. Let it come to room temperature so it is easier to mix.
    • Powdered Sugar - for sweetness, helps blend better together with the cream cheese
    • Vanilla Extract  - As Ina Garten always says use a good pure vanilla extract. No imitation vanilla please! Vanilla extract is made by combing vodka and fresh vanilla beans to a glass jar. This has to sit for a couple of days for the vodka to smart smelling like vanilla beans.

How to make Cheesecake Stuffed Apples

Step 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Or you can melt some butter in a bowl, brush it on the apples then sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 2 Place apples in a baking dish and brush on apples. Bake 20 minutes.

Step 3 Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Spoon mixture into stuffed apples and bake 10 minutes more.

Air fryer Instructions: Place thes stuffed apples in the bottom of the air fryer basket and air fry at 350 for 13 to 17 minutes.

Pro Tips for Air Fryer Cheesecake Stuffed Apples

Use apples that are similar in size so they cook at about the same rate.

Do not scoop too deeply into the apples. Leaving a layer of apple around the outside helps them hold their shape while cooking.

Make sure your cream cheese is softened before mixing. Cold cream cheese can leave lumps in the filling.

Do not overfill the apples. Leave a little room at the top for the filling and graham cracker crumbs.

Keep an eye on the apples toward the end of cooking. You want them tender but still sturdy enough to hold the filling.

If your air fryer runs hot, check the apples early. Air fryer cooking times can vary between models.

    Storage

Store leftover cheesecake stuffed apples in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

For the best texture, reheat them gently in the air fryer at 300 to 325 degrees F until warmed through. You can also enjoy them cold straight from the refrigerator.

If you are planning to store leftovers, keep additional toppings such as whipped cream or ice cream separate and add them just before serving.

    Serving Suggestions

These apples are delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cold, creamy ice cream melts over the warm apple and cheesecake filling.

For an extra cheesecake-style dessert, add whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers.

This looks wonderful. However, I use the oldest method of calculating weight watcher points. Is there any fat in this recipe? Thank you.
