Why You Will Like Strawberry Ice Cream
The Ninja Creami makes it easy to turn a simple frozen mixture into creamy homemade ice cream. Instead of needing a traditional ice cream maker, you simply prepare the base, freeze it, and let the Ninja Creami process it when you are ready for dessert.
Strawberries add natural sweetness and plenty of fresh fruit flavor. Blending the strawberries into the base helps distribute the flavor throughout the ice cream while still allowing you to add additional strawberry pieces as a mix-in.
This is also a great base recipe for experimenting with different flavors. Try adding vanilla extract, crushed cookies, chocolate chips, or a swirl of strawberry sauce.
Ingredients Needed for Strawberry Ice Cream
This recipe you can transform into any kind of flavor imaginable. It’s a basic recipe for vanilla ice cream.
- Greek Yogurt - I like Sigis Greek yogurt because it contains a lot of protein
- Almond Milk - I’m lactose intolerant and can’t have milk or heavy cream in my recipes. Fair life drinks also upset my stomach cause there is still milk in them.
- Vanilla Pudding Mix - This helps thicken the ice cream when Spinning Around in the machine
- Strawberries - Fresh or frozen both work. Frozen strawberries can give an even thicker texture.
- Mix Ins - Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup, Crushed Oreos, Candy Bars, Chopped up chocolate, nuts, blended fruit, honey or agave for sweetener, the list goes on and on.

Pro Tips for Strawberry Ice Cream
Use ripe strawberries whenever possible. Sweet, flavorful strawberries will give you a much better tasting ice cream.
If your strawberries are very tart, you may need a little additional sweetener. Taste the mixture before freezing and adjust it to your preference.
Freeze the container on a level surface. This helps the frozen base process more evenly.
Do not worry if the ice cream looks powdery or crumbly after the first spin. This is common with Ninja Creami recipes. A small amount of liquid and a Re-Spin can usually fix the texture.
For stronger strawberry flavor, add chopped strawberries as a mix-in after the initial spin.
You can also add crushed shortbread cookies, chocolate chips, or a swirl of strawberry jam for a fun variation.
Storage
Ninja Creami Strawberry Ice Cream is best enjoyed shortly after processing because that is when it has its smoothest texture.
If you have leftovers, place the lid on the Ninja Creami container and return it to the freezer. When you are ready to eat it again, process it in the Ninja Creami to restore the creamy texture.
If the frozen leftovers are especially hard or crumbly, a Re-Spin may be needed.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this strawberry ice cream in a bowl or cone with fresh sliced strawberries on top. Whipped cream and a drizzle of strawberry sauce also make delicious toppings.
For a simple strawberry shortcake dessert, serve a scoop alongside slices of pound cake and fresh strawberries.
You can also turn this recipe into a strawberry milkshake by blending the finished ice cream with a little extra milk.
For a fun summer dessert, top it with crushed graham crackers, chocolate chips, sprinkles, or chopped strawberries.
