Grilled Taco Pizza

Grilled Taco Pizza

Grilled Taco Pizza - is one of my favorite things to grill in Summer time and this grilled taco pizza hits the spot!

Is anyone else excited that it's finally grilling season? I admit I didn't start using my grill until last weekend. I have quite a few ideas for some great grilled recipes coming up that are also Weight Watcher Friendly like this grilled pizza using the 2 ingredient dough method. What a great idea that was to try grilling this famous pizza dough recipe.  Tostitos medium con queso cheese sauce is one of my favorite  sauces  and I like to put it on top of pretty much everything and it's the perfect sauce for this Taco pizza.

What Grill do I use?

I have a Traeger smoker that actually is a grill and smoker all in one. In order to use it as a grill I just preheat it at a low temperature and then when the smoker is done preheating I'll crank up the heat to 350 or 400 in order to grill something. Love my smoker.

How to make Grilled Pizza

First you got to mix the dough and roll it out into the desired shape. Transfer the dough onto the grill and make sure that one side of the dough is cooked through and then flip it over. Let the one side cook for 3 to 5 minutes. A good sign the dough is ready to flip over is when you see bubbles on the dough. After you flip the first side, this is when you start putting on the toppings. I used a carrying tray to carry all the ingredients I planned on using to take outside. This comes in handy and keeps you from making multiple trips back to the kitchen.

Pizza Toppings

On this day I had leftover seasoned taco beef and used Tostitos medium con queso sauce for the pizza sauce.  Just use whatever you can find for leftovers in your fridge for pizza toppings. If you like it really spicy drizzle some hot sauce on top.

Do you spray the grill with oil first? The two ingredient dough is pretty sticky so just wondering about that.
